Case Study
125 Years of the Malta Football Association
To celebrate the closure of a historic anniversary year, the Malta Football Association, the UEFA & FIFA representing body of the Maltese National Football Teams collaborated with Musea Orchestra to create a unique orchestral rendition fusing it with national sporting identity.
Musea Orchestra was involved in the artistic concept creation, logistical planning, music consultancy, orchestration, score formatting, recording & VST production, part management as well as the orchestral contracting of a 30-piece orchestra, filling the Northern half of the Malta National Stadium, Ta’ Qali. The ensemble was configured specifically for the occasion, drawing on Musea’s flexible orchestral model to meet both artistic and logistical requirements. Particular emphasis was placed on musical impact, timing precision, and alignment with the Association’s brand values and public image.
The artistic concept was rooted in the idea of collective identity. The project’s visual identity was anchored by a special commemorative kit, inspired by the jerseys worn during Malta’s first official international match in 1957. The filming also marked the first time an orchestra performed at the National Stadium, Ta’ Qali.
